Welcome

St Bathans township is an historical treasure, located en route between the skifields and vineyards of Central Otago and the wildlife and natural beauty of the Otago coastline.

The town itself dates to the early 1860s when gold was discovered there; evidence of this can be seen in the spectacular Blue Lake, formed by the mining processes, and the architecture of the town’s remaining historic buildings, many of these registered historic places.
